As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, this role would involve working remotely until the team eventually transition back to working from the Edinburgh office.

About the role:

As a Web Developer you would be working as an integral part of the Forrit development team and collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth delivery of various development projects.

Key Responsibilities and duties:

  • Play a key role in delivery of various client projects using Forrit tools.
  • To support on-boarding of new clients through development of PoCs, and migrations of websites to the Forrit® platform.
  • Implement pixel-perfect UI designs created by graphic designers to a high standard of code that matches the requirements of underlying web frameworks.
  • Ensure web pages are built to be fully inclusive for all end users.  Accessibility is a key requirement of our clients.
  • Support the existing websites and applications with bug fixes when required.
  • Contribute to regular planning and grooming sessions to ensure development tasks are described to a high quality.
  • Contribute to the design of solutions to the client’s requirements.

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Strong experience in back-end technologies including c# and ASP.NET MVC
  • Ability to build scalable, performant, testable and reusable code
  • Experience with front-end web frameworks (Angular/React etc)
  • Experience of working in an Agile team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
